Our Southern Gables family is preparing for a day of prayer and fasting on February 21. Please seek God and ask Him to soften our hearts and to open our ears as we anticipate the day together.

Every aspect of the day will move us toward petitioning and listening to our Maker and Creator. Come early that morning and set your focus on Him in a time of reflection and remembrance starting at 8:00 a.m. Then move into the worship service led by John Elliott and approach God’s throne as a body of believers. Adult Communities will also be focusing on prayer and will meet at their regular times.

That afternoon we encourage you to continue in an attitude of prayer through the prayer guide that will available in the Welcome Center that morning and through a corporate prayer time held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Voice of Sages, The Power of Story
Saturdays, February 20, March 6

Join us for breakfast on Saturday, February 20, 8:30-10:00 am in Rooms 177-179 and hear Al Hodges' life story. A freewill donation will be accepted to cover the cost of the breakfast. If you have not already registered, be sure to stop by the Men’s Ministry kiosk in the Welcome Center or call Phyllis Sittner at 303-986-1527, Ext. 204, by February 5. We will have baptisms in both worship services on February 28. If you are considering being baptized, please read the information on baptism at Southern Gables. There will be a short orientation on Sunday, February 21, at the close of second service for everyone to be baptized on February 28. Meet with Pastor Dan Luebcke at the front of the Worship Center.

Sermon Series

Pastor Mark is preaching a 7-week sermon series from Revelation 2-3, the Seven Churches of Asia Minor, called: "What Jesus Says to Southern Gables Church and to You!" Senior Pastor Search Information

Southern Gables is in the process of searching for a new Senior Pastor to replace Dr. Jerry Nelson who retired in June 2009. A Search Committee has been formed and is receiving and reviewing applications for the position. Tom Hash Memorial Service Recordings

For more than 30 years Tom and Dotty Hash were a part of Southern Gables Church until they moved to Texas in 2008. Tom went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2009, after a year-long battle with cancer. Two memorial services were held to celebrate Tom's life: in Texas on January 1 and at Southern Gables on January 4. Here are multi-media recordings of those celebrations.
