The Nominating Committee is now soliciting names for 2011 deacon and elder positions. Information on specific openings, job descriptions and contacts is available here. The committee will meet on September 21 and needs your input by September 19.

Introducing New Senior Pastor Jeff Daley

On Sunday, August 1, the Southern Gables Congregation overwhelmingly voted to approve Pastor Jeff Daley as the next Senior Pastor of Southern Gables Church. We welcome Pastor Jeff, his wife Christie and sons Grayson and Haddon to our church family.

Pastor Jeff is currently the Senior Pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He will spend August and September concluding his ministry with that fellowship and assisting them in beginning the transition process to call a new Senior Pastor. After time off in October, he will begin his ministry at Southern Gables on November 1.

We encourage you to become familiar with Pastor Jeff and his family as we prepare for their arrival. Background information is available here. We will provide more information on welcoming activities as the time for the start of his ministry approaches.

Fruit of the Spirit ~ Summer Sermon & Study Series

This Summer, we have embarked on a nine-week spiritual journey through two brief verses, Galatians 5:22-23, known as the Fruit of the Spirit. The "Fruit" is not a collection of virtuous attributes that we ambitiously strive to attain through resolve and self-effort. The Fruit is the outward manifestation of internal change that is progressively transforming us into the image of Jesus Christ. In addition to the sermon series, we are preparing weekly support materials for personal, mentoring/spiritually intentional relationships, and/or small group application. More information.
