Do you have a new baby?

The Children’s Ministry at Southern Gables Church is thrilled to welcome so many new family members within our congregation! If you or someone you know has had a baby recently, or if you have recently adopted a child into your family, please read on, we have a few things to share with you.

  1. CONGRATULATIONS! If it has not been expressed to you already, we at SGC are THRILLED along with you at the new life in your midst! We look forward to hearing more stories about God’s faithfulness!!
  2. We have a way of honoring new additions in our church by posting their picture and birth date, size, weight, parent’s and sibling’s names, etc. on the bulletin board in the west wing. If you would like to have your baby’s picture and information posted here for a few weeks, please let us know!
  3. We have four scheduled baby dedication Sundays each year. There are two left this year: June 10th and September 16th. With so many new additions, we know four Sundays won’t cut it and we know that your schedules sometimes won’t work with the dates we pick. Contact Than Baylor if you are interested in having your child dedicated one of these two Sundays or if there is a better date for you, let us know that so we can work with you.
  4. When your new child is ready to join the nursery or children’s ministry, you will need to fill out a registration form for him or her. Even if you already have kids in the ministry, we need a new sheet for the new addition! We know how much there is to do on a Sunday morning and thinking of filling out a registration form isn’t high on the priority list! You can fill this out at your convenience and return it in the most convenient way for you. Either drop it off in a drop box at church, mail it in, fax it, or email it. You don’t even have to wait until your child is ready for the nursery, if you do it now his or her name will already be on the list when you show up that Sunday he or she is simply too squirmy. The sooner we receive this information, the more accurate our records are and the better able we are to serve your family!
