Mission

To offer love, support, resources and community to adoptive and foster families and provide practical ways for the body of Christ to care for the orphan in our community.

Love and Support

We have several church members who have experience with adoption that would love to offer their counsel, answer questions, be available to listen or just be a friend through the blessings and struggles that come with adoption.

Community

We sponsor events throughout the year to support adoptive/foster families and foster kids within our community. Upcoming classes and SGC adoption related events, along with events of interest in the community, are listed in the calendar. Information is also available at the Compassion Ministry Kiosk in the Welcome Center.

Resources

Most families, at one time or another, will be in need of counsel and encouragement in understanding adoption related issues vs. common issues of raising children. We also have various resources related to adoption at the Compassion Ministry Kiosk in the Welcome Center.

Volunteer Opportunities

A variety of opportunities are available to assist adoptive families and to help with events. Please contact Melondie Keaney if you are available. Opportunities are also listed here occasionally, as well as in the bulletin on a Sunday morning.
