Worship Ministry Opportunities

Serving God, His Church and People in the Worship/Music Ministries

What a gift it is to worship our Lord! What a privilege to join with others as we worship in community! What a calling it is to lead others in worship! (It has been said that there is no more joyful place in the world than the choir loft on Easter Sunday.)

The following musical ensembles and teams are opportunities for you to serve God in worship leadership at Southern Gables Church. Please prayerfully consider joining us! Please contact the church office at 303.986.1527 if you are interested or want more information.

Ensembles and Teams

Voice of Praise: Adult choir which leads worship mostly at Worship I (9:00 a.m.) – sometimes at Worship 2 (10:40 a.m.); rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:45-8:15 p.m. in room 171 and Sunday mornings at 7:45 a.m.; no audition, must be able to sing on pitch.

Orchestra: Adults and youth support the congregational singing and choir with orchestral instruments at Worship I; audition required; rehearsals are as needed on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m.

Worship Band: Piano, keyboard, guitars, bass, drums, vocals and percussion help lead music at Worship I (9:00 a.m.) and alone at Worship 2 (10:40 a.m.); audition required; rehearsals are Thursdays from 6:45 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m. Musicians rotate Sundays, playing once or twice each month.

Small ensembles, Handbell Choir, and soloists: Used as needed.

Sound/Tech/Computer Ministry: Trained operators run the sound, computer and video systems in worship services. We currently have need for more operators in this ministry.

Usher Ministry: This vital ministry of hospitality and welcome currently needs more people Ushers serve every week or once a month.
