Dave Runyon The Art of Neighboring Sermon Guide for May 5

Reformation Sunday Sermon Guide for October 28

Spiritual community is at the heart of our spiritual formation. Relational connection is essential to growing our relationship with Christ. We need one another! That’s why involvement in a Life Group or one-on-one mentoring relationship is so vitally important.

Whether you are new to the church or have been attending for quite a while, it is our desire to facilitate connection by helping you find a Life Group. Our Life Groups provide and develop close, authentic relationships where your questions are welcome, where together you wrestle with the issues of life in the context of God’s Word.

We desire to help you find a group that will fit your personality, interest, life stage and availability. Please contact us for more information, or connect with Dori Sear in the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings.

Life Groups Dynamics

One Fish

ONE is a very small group. It can seem safe—no one telling you what to do or how to live. God created us to live in relationship with Him and with others, not in isolation. We need one another…for encouragement, friendship, knowledge and life experience beyond our own. We need spiritual friendships. They are essential, not optional.

Two Fish

TWO is a comfortable group for developing spiritual friendships. Sometimes it is difficult to share your journey, pain, fears or frustrations in a larger group. Sometimes two people both need and are willing to provide prayer and encouragement for another. Sometimes you need the wisdom of one who has gone before you, and sometimes you need to share your wisdom with someone who is newer to the faith.

Many Fish

A SMALL GROUP (6-12) is the place to build spiritual community; to learn, share, and grow in the context of additional knowledge and perspectives. It is the place to engage the scriptures with deeper meaning and discuss them in the context of your life. Being part of a Life Group adds a dynamic to your faith walk, growing you closer to the Triune God and closer to one another. Many lasting friendships develop in Small Groups.
