"Ministry Teams -- Making a Difference at Southern Gables"
The purpose of the Men's Ministry Team is to provide an opportunity for called and gifted men to serve and make a difference in other men, our church and beyond. For the past several years, God has been growing the ability of the teams to reach and build other men. Now, God is using the teams to make a difference in families, marriages, the workplace, our church, and our community. Our commitment is to serve and build others as God empowers us. Current service teams are summarized below.
How to Connect
Review the descriptions of the various ministry teams below. Also watch the weekly church bulletin and the online events calendar for announcements of team activities and special events. If you see a team or activity that interests you, contact the team leader or Bill Studt or Will Skeen. You can also call or e-mail the church office or send us a message. Come and be strengthened. Volunteer to serve. Perhaps God may even be prompting you to start another ministry team for a new area of service.
Ministry Teams
Alcoholics Victorious
Serving men and women who seek to grow as Christians through separating themselves from the trauma of alcoholism and its effects on the family. Call Jack C. (303.744.8430)
Blood Drive
Serving our community by donating blood. Men's Ministries invites the mobile Bonfils Blood Center to visit SGC four Sundays per year. Watch the bulletin for dates and signup information. Call Bill Robbins (303.979.5173).
Financial Assistance
Serving men and women who are interested in planning budgets, solving financial problems, getting out of debt, etc. Call Don Lesovsky (303.986.7521) or Jerry Mattson (303.972.2985). Watch the weekly bulletin and this web site for announcements of periodic multi-week training courses using Financial Peace University materials.
Hiking & Backpacking
Serving men who like to experience "The Colorado High" of fellowship and fun with brothers in Christ, on the trail in the awesome Rocky Mountains with an awesome God! Call Ron Pouliot (303.973.8503)
Huddles
Serving men who are interested in a small group, focusing on God's Word, prayer, friendship, fellowship, and encouragement. Contact Bob Decker (303.798.9962) or David Wilburn (303.978.0204).
Man to Man

Men's Breakfast

Men's Music Team
Serving men who are interested in playing or singing in a men's worship band. Check out the Men's Ministry Kiosk in the Welcome Center if interested.
Men's Prayer

Men's Visitation

Mexico Missions Trip
Serving our world through construction of a house for a needy family in Juarez, Mexico. Call Scott Naden (303.986.1527).
Motorcycling
