Thanks for visiting the SGC Prayer wall. This is a great way for us to support one another, lifting up our cares and concerns, our praise and our prayer to the sovereign God. This prayer wall is for anyone to submit prayer requests and praises. We encourage you to frequently visit and spend time praying over the requests and praises. Be sure to push the “I prayed for this” button once you’ve prayed. Let’s see how God moves in and through our church! When you submit a request, please be sure to click on the “share this” button to see the options for how widespread your request is communicated.

Praise that one biopsy came back cancer free! We are, also, thankful for discussions and time together as a family. It has helped to root our family deeper in God.
Please pray as we weigh risk of COVID with doctors as we discuss me returning to work for a couple of weeks to wrap some things up and as we discuss how guarded we will be, in general, as guidelines start to loosen. We don’t want to be fearful, but cautious. We are so thankful for our SGC family and look forward to seeing everyone in person (hopefully sooner rather than later).

Update on my request: Thank you to our Father and for your prayers! My shingles seem to be a mild case and managable! The medication side effects have been the worst part of this new adventure. God has been VERY merciful with this. I am not out of the woods yet, but I am rejoicing and thanking God for how ever long I have this. :)

Our daughter Rebekah, who had a brain bleed 4 weeks ago, should be released from the hospital and rehab on Sunday. Many, many thanks for your prayers for her recovery! And please pray for her transition home, as well as OT, PT, and speech therapy which should continue after her release.

An update on my cousin Natalie's cancer situation. She got the results back from her masectomy and it shows she had Stage 3 cancer so the doctors want her to go thru 4.5 months of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation and then 10 yrs of hormone therapy. I cannot believe its necessary and please keep praying for Natalie has she a long road ahead and to draw strength from God.

Please pray for my family as my mom had her heaven day on Friday. We will miss her terribly, but rejoice that her struggle with Alzheimer’s is over, and she’s safely home in heaven. Please pray that we will honor her well with a very small graveside service on Thursday, while awaiting a future memorial service. Please pray especially for my elderly dad who we can support only over the phone instead of in person during this time. Thank you!

Please hold Don in prayer when he does his last chemo treatment on Tuesday. On May 7th after the treatment, a CT and bone scan will be done to monitor his progress.
Thanks for your prayers in the many months of treatment that he has had to endure.

My friend and former member of our church, Beth Morrissey, lives in an assisted living in Fort Collins. She is suffering from COPD and is handicapped in a wheel chair as well. She asked for prayer today as she has started coughing really badly. She is hoping and praying it’s not the virus.

Thank all of you and especially, Than Baylor who has been faithfully meeting via tech, with my son, Miles to mentor him in preparation for his baptism. We give praise and thanks to The LORD, for Than’s faithful service and interest in Miles’ spiritual growth. “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love endures forever.” We also ask for special prayer for my 85 yo mom and stepdad, dottie and Ken, in SC. My stepdad has ALS and is now beginning Hospice care.
Please pray for them, The LORD’s peace, comfort and endurance to press on in the midst of his final months and weeks. We also know The LORD can heal him, so we are trusting for whatever outcome. Thank you for attending this prayer wall.
In this brief, earthly life, more is wrought by prayer than anything else.
