Please pray for me as my body has decided to develop shingles. . . ugg! It could be worse. :) Please pray that my case will be mild, but if not, pray that I will be able to edure the pain and discofort. The meds are making me feel very tired all the time and it is not a comfortable feeling for me. I rejoice though that I am breathing and still full of life! Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Praise Report for my missionary friend, Ned, from his wife, Stephanie:

Greetings, prayer warriors...I must admit, it's hard to top the progress Ned made over the last couple of days. So, while Ned continues to improve, I'm thinking it will probably be a steady improvement, rather than the giant steps he took earlier this week. I'm simply thankful for any improvement, no matter how God chooses to provide it.

Yesterday afternoon, Ned was moved out of ICU into a regular hospital room. So, he'll now be able to start physical and occupational therapy. When I spoke with Ned's nurse this morning, she said he was already making some progress in gaining range of motion, particularly in his arms. I can tell he is very motivated to regain his strength, which is a good sign. In some of our conversations, Ned still shows signs of confusion, but it's so much better than it was just two days ago. So, as the medications he was on continue to leave his body, my prayer is that his mind will continue to clear.

Here are a few prayer items for today:

1. Praise God that he was moved into a regular hospital room where he will now get both physical and occupational therapy. Please pray that Ned's body will continue to recover well and gain strength.

2. Pray for Ned's mind to continue to clear and recover, as well.

3. Pray for wisdom regarding the next steps in the recovery process.

I obviously don't know what the future holds, but I'm hopeful Ned will steadily improve over the next days, weeks, and months. We are so grateful for the ways you've faithfully stood with us, and we hope you're able to continue to do so. Thank you!

From Joyce Rohrman's daughter:

She has recently been having more trouble swallowing, with increased discomfort, similar to what she experienced before the stent was placed in her esophagus and stomach in early February. She is scheduled to have another procedure on Monday, April 20th to determine what is happening. We are hoping that the doctor can then help to relieve this problem.

This will not be a cure, but will done be for her comfort.

We were told that if the esophagus were to completely close, her last days would be difficult and painful.

Please pray that the procedure will go well and that she will be comfortable. Thank you for your concern and prayers.

I need to be close to God. Please pray that God will draw me to Himself through Jesus Christ and give me victory over all sin and spiritual opposition. I also struggle a lot with being single. Please pray that Jesus Christ will help me meet the lady He wants me to marry, a Godly wife would be a true blessing to me. Thank you so much for your prayers and may God bless you all.

My mom is at Mapleton Care Center and I spoke with the social worker there Thursday. She said there are eight cases of coronavirus and one person has passed away. Also the virus is now in the south wing where my mother resides. I call my mom every day and she says she is sleeping a lot and she tells me she feels like giving up. Please pray for her. For her to feel God’s strength and peace in the circumstances of isolation. She doesn’t know about all the cases there at her home and I don’t feel it’s appropriate to tell her. She does feel like she’s getting great care from the caregivers but they’re very short staffed. The caregivers need our prayers as well.
